I get to________.

Took my braids out yesterday, that was a mess! I looked liked the brown version of the cynthia doll from #rugrats . I hated how I looked but appreciated that “I get to transform myself again into whatever I wanted when I woke up the next morning”.

The key here is “I get to” that changes my approach to life, if you try “I get to _________” you turn your ability to do something , and do it with gratitude 🙏🏽 as opposed to one of complaint. There are people in this world that would love to do what you are complaining about, sometimes we don’t see it for what it’s really worth.

Having this attitude of gratitude really lends itself to satisfaction and happiness.

I was appreciative to the Mister for helping me remove my braids and combing out the knots that had formed. He even told me I was pretty, although I didn’t feel that way it was nice to hear.

I got to transform into something I more preferred. It made me happy that I had the ability.

Change how you say what you have to do, it will change you.
